Terms of play
Last updated 17 August 2026. The short honest version, pending formal terms with the licence application.
- Free to play. Last One Standing currently has no entry fees and no prizes of any kind. Winning earns bragging rights only. Paid entry will launch only under a Gambling Commission licence, with new terms you'll have to accept first.
- 18+. You must be 18 or over to hold an account. We will verify age properly before any paid play; until then your attestation at signup is binding.
- The rules are the rules. The rules page is part of these terms. Every elimination, auto-pick and tie-break is decided by the published rules engine, and every decision is logged. Admin decisions on data errors (abandoned matches and the like) are final.
- One account per person. Multiple entries inside a competition are allowed - extra accounts are not. Duplicate accounts may be merged or removed.
- Fair play. No bots, no scraping other players' data, no exploiting bugs (tell us instead: hello@playlos.app - we say thank you).
- Your name and labels. Display names and entry labels must not be offensive or impersonate others; we may rename ones that are.
- Availability. LOS is a free beta provided as-is. We work hard on reliability (and publish our safety nets) but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. If a technical failure affects a round, we fix it by the published rules and the audit log, and say so openly.
- Liability. While LOS is free, our liability to you is limited to what UK law does not allow us to exclude. Nothing here limits liability for fraud.
- Safer play. Break tools are on the safer play page. We may add limits or refuse service where play appears harmful.
- Changes. We can update these terms and the rules; material changes are announced on the site before they apply to a new competition. Competitions already locked run under the rules they started with.
- Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
