Formula 1 - Last One Standing

Competition codes start MOTOR-F1. One driver a race, and it has to finish in the Top 10.

Pick a driver. Finish in the required places and you stay in. Finish outside them - or fail to finish - and you're out. You can't use the same driver twice.

There are two ways to play:

You can enter both, but they run completely separately. Each competition has its own entries, picks, used drivers and results.

How it works

  1. Play multiple entries

You can have more than one entry in each competition. Each entry plays separately, with its own picks, used drivers and fate.

Your entries can pick the same driver in the same round, provided that driver is still available to each entry.

  2. Join before the competition starts

New Formula 1 and Formula 1 XTREME competitions open throughout the season.

Add your entries before Round 1 of that competition locks. Once Round 1 has locked, no new entries can be added.

  3. Pick one driver

Each round, every live entry picks one Formula 1 driver. In Formula 1, your driver must finish in the Top 10.

Finish inside the required places and you stay in; finish outside them and you're out.

  4. You can't use the same driver twice

Once an entry has used a driver, that entry can't use them again in the same competition.

Drivers you've already used are crossed out and can't be selected, so you can always see who you still have available.

If a competition lasts long enough for every available driver to have been used, the drivers reset and become available again.

  5. Each Grand Prix is a round

Each Grand Prix counts as one round, and we'll clearly show you which race you're picking for.

Your result is based on the published race classification: in Formula 1, 10th is in and 11th is out. A DNF, DNS or disqualification means you're out.

The published classification decides the finishing order, so there is no separate Last One Standing tie-break.

Sprint races don't count unless a competition specifically says otherwise.

  6. Picks lock when the race starts

Picks lock when the Grand Prix starts.

Until then, you can make or change your pick. Once the round locks, everyone's picks are revealed.

If the race start time changes, the lock may move earlier, but it will never move later than the original published lock time.

  7. Miss the deadline? We pick for you

If you haven't made a pick when the round locks, we'll automatically give that entry the most popular available driver in the competition for that round.

We'll skip any driver that entry has already used; if there's a tie, the higher-placed driver in the Drivers' Championship is selected.

  8. Race cancelled? You stay in

If the Grand Prix is cancelled and no classification is published, you stay in. Your selected driver still counts as used, exactly as if they had finished in the required places.

If the starting grid is published before picks lock and your driver is not on it, we'll tell you so you can pick again before the deadline.

And if your driver takes no part in the race at all - withdrawn, or replaced too late for a grid - you stay in and that driver does NOT count as used. You can pick them another week.

  9. Everyone out? Everyone stays in

If every remaining entry goes out in the same round, it's a wipeout.

Nobody is eliminated; everyone stays in and picks again at the next Grand Prix.

Drivers used in the wipeout still count as used, and the rule applies even if only two entries remain.

  10. Last one standing wins

Keep going until only one entry remains.

The last entry standing wins the competition.

If the Formula 1 season ends with more than one entry still in, those entries are joint winners.

Every competition

  1. If too few players have joined when round 1 locks, that competition is voided - nobody loses anything, just join the next one.
  2. Once a round is settled it stays settled. A later appeal, award, disqualification or points deduction does not reopen it: nobody is put back in, and nobody is taken out. If a result is wrong, we fix it before the round settles - that is what the deadline is for.
  3. All admin decisions are final and every rules decision is logged.

Keeping track is easy

Your Profile shows all the competitions you've entered, which ones you're still in, and all your entries and picks, so you can jump straight back into any live competition.

For every entry, we'll also show which drivers you've already used and which are still available.

Don't want to miss a beat? Add Last One Standing to your phone or desktop and switch on notifications. We'll remind you when picks are due, when a round locks and when it's time to go again.

Know where you are

Motor Racing currently has two games - Formula 1 and Formula 1 XTREME. They may be based on the same Grand Prix, but they are completely separate competitions.

We keep the naming simple:

So wherever you are in the game, you'll always know which game, which competition and which round you're playing.
